Orange Scanner for X ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the Extension handles data.

DATA COLLECTION

We do NOT collect any personal data from users.

The Extension stores the following information locally on your device: • Scanned video metadata (URL, tweet ID, title, author, timestamp) - limited to 200 entries • User theme preference (light/dark mode)

This data is stored using Chrome's local storage API and remains on your device. It is never transmitted to any external server.

HOW YOUR DATA IS USED

All data stored locally is used solely for: • Displaying the list of scanned videos in the side panel • Enabling batch download functionality • Remembering your visual theme preference

DATA SHARING

We do NOT share, sell, or transmit any user data with third parties. We do NOT use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

DATA RETENTION

Scanned videos are automatically limited to 200 most recent entries • You can manually clear all scanned videos at any time through the extension interface • All locally stored data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension

PERMISSIONS

The Extension requests the following permissions to function properly: • Storage: Local data storage only • Tabs & Side Panel: Extension UI components • Downloads: Save videos to your computer • WebRequest: Monitor Twitter/X domains for video stream URLs • Host permissions (twitter.com, x.com, twimg.com): Required to access Twitter/X pages for video detection

All permissions are used exclusively for the Extension's core functionality: detecting and downloading videos from Twitter/X.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We do NOT use any third-party services. All functionality is self-contained within the Extension.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the Extension and on our GitHub repository.
